When it comes to deciding on an accessory to complete your outfit, the turban is a sure way to turn even the simplest of outfits into a chic, sleek and stylish Spring look. It doesn’t yet seem to be the first thought that comes to everyone’s mind when considering a hair accessory for the day or night, but this trend is appearing in editorials and runway collections galore and I think soon it will (and should) become a staple accessory in every women’s wardrobes. Miuccia Prada’s S/S 2007 collection is most likely responsible for fashion’s latest adoption of the turban.

When talking about clothes, a lot of people gasp at the mention of prints as if they are scary, intimidating and far too attention-grabbing to even consider wearing. Now although I have generalised this mentality, and there are people who - sometimes to a fault - are not scared at all (perhaps it is this sort of person that makes the others gasp at the thought in the first place), prints are something you should definitely not shy away from this season!

It’s time to say “sayonara” to the compulsory night time heel because flat shoes are fast becoming acceptable for those evening events that can often be followed by a trip to the chemist for a packet of Band-Aids. This love-hate relationship between beauty and the pain is becoming more and more distant, and this season designers are opting for a bond between comfort and style by replacing the 6 inch heel with the flat to result in equally chic, elegant and polished looks.
