Hot, hot, hot trend for this winter!
I don’t think the military look has ever really gone out of fashion. It’s seen on runways around the world year after year - some admittedly more than others, but it never fails to make an appearance! It’s a trend that is constantly fashionable and unlike those that come and go like the wind, this one has its feet firmly planted in the fashion world. It’s a look that never ceases to make its wearer look and feel confident and completely and utterly striking.
So if you’re sick of investing in trend pieces that go as quickly out of fashion as they come in, and are wondering if there is such a thing that remains fashionable for longer than two minutes (that isn’t simply a black or white tee), then your prayers have been answered.
The military look however subtly or intensely it may be worn, has been, and will be here for a while! French label Balmain, brings military into its collections season after season and is notorious for making girls look amazing and turn heads everywhere they go…if that’s not a sign I don’t know what is!
The military inspired trend is such an easy way to look stylish and it won’t make you feel out of your comfort zone. There’s just something about it that makes every woman look hot! The key I think, is not to go overboard and to wear only enough to give your outfit that extra bit of POW! This style really only needs one (or two depending on what you choose) military inspired piece per outfit whether it be a blazer or jacket, a cargo-style pant, or a flat or chunky heeled/wedged buckled boot.
The cold winter nights that are creeping up on us make it a lot harder to look sexy and keep warm at the same time, so team your dress with a structured military blazer or jacket to make a real winter fashion statement! For night time, opt for navy, black or even red military statement pieces to keep your outfit looking chic and really project that tough-girl image. For day time, you can bring in the khakis, greys and blacks, by pairing a military jacket with something as simple as a plain tee and jeans! Knee high (or higher) boots are also really big this Winter so throw them into the works and you’ll well and truly be the style queen wherever you are!
